St Vincent Buyers Guide for St Vincent Property sales

Buying a property on the islands of St Vincent and the Grenadines will take about 8-12 weeks, and you are advised to appoint a recommended lawyer before proceeding.

  • A deposit of about 10% will be required
  • All foreigners will need an Alien Landholding licence which will cost between 4-10% of the value of the property. Your lawyer will apply for this licence.
  • Legal fees will come to between 1-2% of the purchase price
  • A registration fee of .25% of the purchase price is payable by the purchaser
  • Stamp Duty of 5% is payable by the seller; and also by the purchaser at the same percentage rate

As is common throughout the Caribbean all costs are paid to and via your appointed lawyer.
