Grenada
Grenada is best for its pretty beaches and topography, arts, crafts, tropical gardens, sailing, diving, spice activities, delicious chocolate and cocoa.
Grenada is one of the friendliest islands in the Caribbean and one that is still managing to keep its identity of the Spice Isle with its nutmeg and cocoa plantations despite the encroaching modernisation / developments around the island. Many islanders make a living from arts, crafts and batik, which you can enjoy on one of various island tours or in St George's, the islands capital and arguably the prettiest harbour in the Caribbean.
Investing in Grenada - a gateway to The Grenadines and the hub for sailors from Tobago, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbados - will be an attractive option for someone looking for a slower pace of life and the desire to see an island grow in its richness of accommodation whilst connecting with the warmth of the Grenadian people. Indeed Grenada is an island which encourages you to immerse yourself in island life.
Property prices rose dramatically in the two or three years before the recent global downturn. Since then there are deals to be achieved and generally the island represents a good buy $ for $ compared to the islands with a longer established history in real estate development.

Weather
Like most of the Windward Islands, Grenada enjoys year round temperatures in the 80s with cooling trade winds. The rainy season is officially from July to November. During this time of year there are more overcast days and the greatest chance of rainfall that can be very sudden and extremely heavy. The Spice Isle is considered outside the hurricane belt, although a notable exception was Hurricane Ivan in 2004 which stripped the island bare. The Caribbean hurricane season runs from July to October. Carriacou and Petite Martinique are drier than their big sister as they are lower-lying and less mountainous.
